Secondhand furniture
Hiya! I've just moved in, to an unfurnished appartment in Joburg...I'm not going to be here for ages, but need something to sit on in the meantime! Is there a secondhand furniture market here???

Hi Izzie, there isn't really any exclusive second hand furniture shops, but you can normally find pretty cool stuff in the Junk Mail, which you can pick up at most Pick n Pays or Spar supermarkets. Or if you are more adventurous, a lot of the Cash Converters have second hand furniture. I know the one at the Blackheath Shopping center has quite a selection. And finally you could seek out one or more of the Pawn shops in Joburg, most of them are in pretty seedy parts of town, like Brixton or the Randburg CBD, so watch yourself or go with a friend.

Hi Check on the internet. You can find a couple of second hand shops and there you can buy furniture that is still of good quality and at bargain prices!
