Retirement
Is anyone out there retired in S.A. from the U.S. how complicated is it. Do you need to have permanent residency in S.A. for retirement.

It is best to contact an immigration person who has experience in this try Tracy du Plessis on tracy@relocationafrica.co.za has 13 years with Home Affairs and 6 years with Relocation Africa. Good Luck.

Hi Rowzee, I did this from UK a year ago. Preperation is important BUT probably best to come in on 90 day Tourist Passport which can be extended for further 90 days. My biggest nightmare was eveidence of SA address for banking, TV license, car purchase etc. Ensure you have paperless Bank / Credit Card via internet. Make sure that you review finances before leaving US.
Good Luck
